The story Saya no Uta tells of a young man named Sakisaka Fuminori. Like everyone else, he led a normal life - lived with his parents, he studied at the Institute and met with friends. But in a moment the whole world is destroyed Fuminori, when he gets together with his parents in a car accident. The collision was so terrible that the bodies of his mother and father were mutilated beyond recognition. Thanks to the efforts of doctors, Fuminori miraculously survived the accident, but for him the world changed forever. As a result of the accident, the guy has developed an inexplicable distortion of perception of the world - and the usual reality turned into hell: everything around him seems bizarre piles of meat and other people seem dreadful, hideous monsters. Everything that was dear in this life was a stranger ... the world has become unbearable place. Fuminori trying to live on, cut off from the world and are struggling to hide their disease from others, but this heavy burden gradually destroys his soul.
